Camillian Home is a registered non-profit children's charity operating on behalf of the St. Camillus Foundation of Thailand in the area of Lat Krabang, Bangkok. The orphaned children at the Camillian Home come from very poor circumstances or have been abandoned at a local hospital. They have been referred to the Center through the Government’s Social Welfare Department, whom we work closely with. Many of the children arrive with AIDS but with the proper care and nourishment have gone back to being HIV positive.

Father Giovanni Contarin, an Italian Padre, began his work with HIV/AIDS children in 1995 by establishing the Camillian Social Center Rayong. The center is unique in its concept in that it addresses the issue of HIV/AIDS with a series of integrated activities. In 2008, thanks to the kindness of two Italian benefactors, we constructed a special designed facility for children living with disabilities called Camillian Home. All of our children receive daily therapy, educational and life skill classes by our professionally trained staff. We provide an enviroment that encourages and aids the development of each child. Many of our orphaned children are not only disabled but also HIV postive. These children must receive specialized care. The Center is designed to be a model for other institutions in all aspects of helping sick and disabled children.

• In addition to their orphanage, they provide a free day care service for children living with disabilities from the local area to help support needy families, operate a training program for them to give them the social skills needed to improve their quality of life, work for advocacy within the municipality of Bangkok through a networking office and operate an education program for trainers and therapists.
